I turn Forty on 1/28! For my birthday,
let's do something better for the world, and for my son.
Those who know me well know how much I love and value birthdays. Now that I am a father, I want to help make the world a better place for my son and there isn’t a better time to do so than now. To that end, in lieu of buying me a gift to celebrate the big 4-0, I have selected a charity that I'd love for you to help me and my family support. Alternatively, you can feel free to donate directly to my son's college fund (because every little bit helps). If you want to do both, well, our family would be honored! Please select one or more of the following options below (If you don't have paypal, don’t worry! Please choose "Check out without a paypal account" on the next screen, or continue shopping to add more items. The payee will be atallen@gmail and Cyprojects):
Give to the Mental Health of College Students
Too often members of our community find themselves suffering from the effects of mental disorders without hardly any treatment. They fear being stigmatized or considered weak, and as a result can spend decades of their lives without a proper diagnosis. The reality is my dedication to diagnosing and improving my mental health status has been critical to me being a husband & father. It’s important that I pay it forward and ensure that others can get the same essential help that I did.
The Steve Fund (no it's not me, but I've gotta say, I love the name!) focuses on the mental health of college students of color. Mental Health is very important to me. Visit www.stevefund.org for more info.
I invite those who think they need help to seek it, and for those who are being helped to never give up.

Or Give to Lennox
Let's face it, Lennox will need to go to college one day. Help us get him there.
